On Friday the nineteenth of June, his twelve week birthday, Benjamin Lucas Palmer finally came home. He weighed 6 lbs. 8 ounces. He is still on caffeine and a monitor and has some problems with blood pressure, but we are hopeful he will continue to improve and are so grateful we are all together as a family.

Mark & I were so excited when I listened to Bart's message on Friday. Sorry that I'm running around like crazy/gone this week. I'll be back next & check in to see if I can lend an hand in any way. But for now: Hooray!

The caffeine stimulates his breathing. His breathing is periodic and he is at risk for apnea while it remains that way. The caffeine is supposed to help him keep breathing.

Jenny I was wondering if you could do my a favor. I met you in Hawaii. You and Bart came and swam on our beach when he was interviewing at BYUH. There is another lady from USU who is going to BYUH for an internship who is expecting a baby. I didn't have to go to the doctor while I was there and no nothing about the hospitals or doctors.
